Meghan sends warm welcome to replacement on Suits show
ROYAL bride-to-be Meghan Markle has sent out a message to “keep calm and carry on” to her former TV co-stars as another actor takes over her old part.
Meghan Markle has been replaced by Katherine Heigl in legal drama Suits
Prince Harry’s fiancee has been replaced on legal drama Suits by Katherine Heigl, who won an Emmy Award for her performance as Izzie Stevens in long-running US medical series Grey’s Anatomy.
Ms Heigl has already arrived on the Suits set in Toronto, Canada.
A source said: “She has come to us with quite a fearsome reputation as a perfectionist who doesn’t suffer fools and tends to reign with a firm hand on the shows in which she appears.”
But Meghan, whose character Rachel Zane was last seen marrying handsome Michael Ross played by Patrick Adams, has stepped in to calm any fears by sending messages to Ms Heigl, 39, and several other cast members.

The insider said: “I know she’s written to Katherine to welcome her on board.
“Meghan has also sent messages to several other cast members with whom she was close, including Patrick. After appearing in 102 episodes, that shows just how much Meghan loved being here.
“It also shows what a sharp sense of diplomacy she possesses. I guess that comes in more than useful in the royal circles in which she now finds herself – but it was a really warm-hearted thing to do.”
It is not yet known if any show regulars will be invited to her wedding to Harry at St George’s Chapel, Windsor on May 19.
Max Beesley on working with ‘lovely Meghan Markle’ in Suits
The guest list is still a closely guarded secret and a former colleague of Meghan’s said yesterday: “She’s still very close to Patrick, with whom she became firm friends as a result of their on-screen romance. But no-one knows if even he will be there and he certainly isn’t saying.”
While shooting her final Suits season, Meghan, 36, admitted that after falling for Harry, on-screen sex scenes with Adams “seem weird now”.
Her Canadian-born co-star, also 36, backed her and said: “Of course that seems weird now.”
But he insisted that performing alongside Meghan had always been huge fun, adding: “Work can feel like work, but it felt like play the whole time. We were having a great time.”
