Olympians receive gongs from Prince William at Buckingham Palace
A HOST of Britain's Olympians have received a distinguished addition to their medals haul when they were honoured at Buckingham Palace.
Georgina Twigg, Chay Cullen, Susannah Townsend, Hollie Web and Laura Unsworth received MBEs
Hockey players, track stars, swimmers and canoeists will be recognised alongside broadcasters and explorers at an investiture ceremony hosted by the Duke of Cambridge.
Medallists Susannah Townsend, Hollie Webb, Georgina Twigg, Laura Unsworth and Chay Cullen, who led Team GB's women's hockey team to their first gold, received MBEs.
Webb swept home a penalty in a tense shoot-out which secured victory in the finals at last summer's Rio Games, with Cullen also scoring in the deciding match.
