Duchess of Cambridge joins London Marathon runners in support of Heads Together campaign
THE DUCHESS of Cambridge has joined Prince Harry in support of the Heads Together mental health campaign.

The Duchess of Cambridge was all smiles as she met London Marathon runners ahead of the big race this weekend in an awareness-raising event in the capital today.
Dressed in a striped top and simple black trousers, she helped wrap a blue headband around one of the post-boxes lining this Sunday’s race route.
The headbands are adorned with the Heads Together logo, helping to raise awareness for the campaign which is tackling stigma, raising awareness, and providing vital help for people with mental health problems.
It comes after Prince Harry spoke openly about his own mental health issues following the death of his mother.

He said: “I have probably been very close to a complete breakdown on numerous occasions when all sorts of grief and sort of lies and misconceptions and everything are coming to you from every angle.

“During those years I took up boxing, because everyone was saying boxing is good for you and it’s a really good way of letting out aggression.
“And that really saved me because I was on the verge of punching someone, so being able to punch someone who had pads was certainly easier.”

He said his older brother Prince William had eventually been the one to make him talk about his struggles.
Prince Harry said: “[William told me] ‘Look, you really need to deal with this. It is not normal to think that nothing has affected you.’

“I’ve [spoken to therapists] a couple of times, more than a couple of times, but it’s great.”
