Secret codename for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's police investigation revealed
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was recently arrested by the Thames Valley Police for allegedly disclosing state information.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's police investigation now has a secret codename - Operation Ironville. It's the term used for all intelligence gathered for the ex-Duke's probe. Andrew was arrested on February 19, at Sandringham at 8am, on his birthday, on suspicion of misconduct in public office. It came after he was accused of sharing sensitive information with late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein when he was the UK trade envoy.
Officers searched the Windsor Estate and Wood Farm property on the King's private Sandringham estate in Norfolk, where Andrew, who served as trade envoy between 2001 and 2011, has been living.
A source told the Sun: "The fact that there is a codename for this investigation tells you all you need to know — this is a large-scale police operation. There must have been a temptation to use many different phrases, but it’s clear they needed something plain and usable so cops can go about their business undeterred."

They added: "With all the efforts they have gone to in order to lock down the investigation and stop any leaks, it feels a bit daft for them to just leave it on Google.
"But it’s clear this is being taken seriously — which means there must be more to come surely."
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has denied all wrongdoing in relation to the late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.
His arrest marks the first time a senior member of the Royal Family has been taken into police custody in modern history.

Shortly after Andrew was arrested, King Charles released a statement expressing his "deepest concern" and stressing the Royal Family would "continue in our duty and service to you all".
"What now follows is the full, fair, and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities," the King said.
"In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation.
"Let me state clearly: the law must take its course."
