Meghan Markle is set to celebrate her 43rd birthday this Sunday, August 4, but it's the Duchess' future milestone that could see her with an unusual gift.

Back in 2021, during a light-hearted sketch on the Today show with comedian Melissa McCarthy, Meghan playfully discussed various ways to mark her 40th birthday. She rejected ideas like a yacht party or a Suits reunion.

The Duchess, who shot to fame as Rachel Zane in the hit legal drama Suits, was seen in a resurfaced clip chatting with McCarthy about potential birthday plans. The comic jokingly suggested another serene photoshoot beneath a tree, prompting Meghan to respond with a tongue-in-cheek: "Peaceful under a tree is me everyday."

The banter escalated when Melissa brandished a fake tattoo emblazoned with "besties forever", hinting at the possibility of the duo getting matching tattoos. Meghan's witty comeback was: "You know I already have something similar across my back."

Melissa, pointing to the design, quipped: "This one's you and this one's me because sometimes I think we're twinsies." To which Meghan teased: "You know, maybe we save it for when I turn 50."

However, Meghan revealed her true birthday wish was to inspire friends to donate 40 minutes of mentorship to support women re-entering the workforce post-pandemic, underscoring her commitment to gender equality and feminist causes.

In the run-up to her Royal wedding with Prince Harry in 2018, Meghan Markle joined forces with Prince William and Princess Kate, advocating for people to pay attention to women's voices.

She powerfully declared: "I hear a lot of people speaking about girls' empowerment and women's empowerment - you will hear people saying they are helping women find their voices."

She boldly challenged this notion, stating: "I fundamentally disagree with that because women don't need to find their voices, they need to be empowered to use it and people need to be urged to listen."

As Meghan approaches her 43rd birthday, the plans remain a mystery. However, last year saw Meghan and Harry at the celebrity-favoured Tre Lune in Montecito, California, a dining spot previously frequented by stars such as Kourtney Kardashian, where they enjoyed the company of a friend.
