Meghan Markle, 37, rose to fame playing sassy lawyer Rachel Zane in USA Network series Suits. But long before she met Prince Harry she also had an unlikely side hustle. This is Meghan’s past job revealed.
These days Meghan Markle is every bit a British Duchess but she used to have to graft to get by.
The former American actress is a woman of many talents but one of her skills is less known about than others.
Not only did Meghan used to run her own lifestyle blog “The Tig”, but she had a real knack for fancy handwriting.

Sadly for Tig fans Meghan had to shut down the passion project six months after she and Harry announced their relationship in 2017.
But Meghan’s knack for words wasn’t limited to the digital world, she also put real pen to paper professionally.
Meghan’s unusual side hustle revealed
In a 2016 interview with Good Housekeeping Meghan revealed she was a professional calligrapher.
The Duchess used to handwrite invitations and place names for weddings and events.
Quizzed if she had any hidden talents, Meghan told GH: “I used to be a calligrapher for weddings and events — that was my side job while I was auditioning.
“I think handwritten notes are a lost art form. When I booked my first pilot, my dad wrote me a letter that I still have. The idea of someone taking the time to put pen to paper is really special.”
While Meghan may be modest about her artistic talents she’s written invites for a string of celebrity clients.
Five years prior to her big break in Suits Meghan did the invitations for Robin Thicke and actress Paula Patton’s wedding.
Paula Patton has since gushed about the Duchess’s work and described Meghan’s calligraphy as “flawless.”
Ms Patton told Town and Country: ”I just thought Meghan did a beautiful job,”
“It really is a lost art, and it was so nice to create something without a device that doesn’t use a battery or need to be plugged in.”
She added: “There was not a single mistake, it was truly perfect, impeccable, and I remember being in awe of her.”
Markle previously told Esquire that she learned the tricky skill as a young girl.
She said: “I went to an all-girls Catholic school for like six years during the time when kids actually had handwriting class.
“I’ve always had a propensity for getting the cursive down pretty well.
“What it evolved into was my pseudo-waitressing job when I was auditioning.
"I didn’t wait tables. I did calligraphy.”
