Princess Diana heard this EMBARRASSING confession from Lily Allen’s brother, star reveals
PRINCESS Diana had a shocking encounter with Lily Allen and her young brother Alfie, who experienced a mortifying wardrobe malfunction at the tender age of five, according to Lily’s new book.
Lily and Alfie Allen meet Princess Diana at film premiere in 1992
Not even the Princess of Wales’ innate talent to work with children may have prepared her for the heartbreaking revelation made by Alfie, when they met at the premiere of his mother Alison Owen's film Hear My Song in 1991.
The siblings’ role was to welcome the royal with gifts and curtsies.
But Alfie, who entered the global limelight as an actor playing the role of Theon Greyjoy in Game of Thrones, carried out his role with tears running down his face.
Lily, who was six-years-old at the time, revealed in her new memoir, My Thoughts Exactly, the painful reason behind Alfie’s cry for help.
‘Are you ok?’ she asked him. 'No,' he replied ‘I’ve got my willy caught in my zip’
She wrote: “Diana the Princess of Wales came to the premiere.
“I was a flower girl and gave her a posy, Alfie had a box of handkerchiefs to give her but somehow he got his k*** caught in his trouser zip moments before meeting her.”
Seeing the boy bursting into tears in front of her prompted Diana to ask what was the reason behind his pain.
Lily said: “He was crying when she approached him.
"‘Are you ok?’ she asked him.
"‘No,’ he replied ‘I’ve got my willy caught in my zip’.”
The book doesn’t say how the Princess of Wales reacted to Alfie’s revelation.
However, Princess Diana is remembered by her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, as a doting mum who loved having fun with children.
In the documentary, Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy, the second-in-line to the throne and his brother spoke for the first time about Princess Diana as a mother.
Opening up in a series of candid interviews, the royal brothers shared some of their earliest memories of Diana, with Harry saying she was “very informal”.
He said: “She was very informal and really enjoyed the laughter and the fun.
“She was one of the naughtiest parents.”
The Duke of Sussex also described Diana as a “total kid”.
He said: “Our mother was a total kid, through and through.
“When everybody says to me, ‘So she was fun, give us an example,’ all I can hear is her laugh in my head.
“That sort of crazy laugh of where there was just pure happiness shown on her face.”
