LABOUR’S announcement of the appointment of 20 new shadow ministers has been ridiculed after the party press release misspelt three names of the MPs on the list.

Tracy Brabin, the Labour MP for Batley & Spen who replaced succeeded Jo Cox after she was murdered last June, was among those whose names were spelled wrong, with the press release naming her “Tracey”.
Miss Brabin is set to become a shadow spokesman for education after retaining her seat in last month’s General Election.

Former TV presenter Gloria De Piero, who worked under Ed Miliband when he was the Labour leader, became Gloria “di Piero” in the press release.
Finally, Rachael Maskell saw her first name reduced by one letter in the press release, with the party omitting the second ‘a’ as they announced the appointment of the York MP to the Labour front bench.
Just days after bringing back Owen Smith, a critic of the Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn has filled his shadow cabinet with a host of former rebels in a bid to unite the party.

A number of those who quit after Mr Corbyn sacked Hillary Benn last year have returned to the front bench.
Commenting on the appointments, Mr Corbyn said: “I’m delighted to be filling Labour’s shadow front bench with a wealth of talent. Our new shadow ministers will bolster the excellent work of Labour’s shadow cabinet and departmental teams.
