DONALD Trump has said Theresa May was "very angry" about the US leaking intelligence about the Manchester bomber.
Rudd: 'It's irritating' that US leaked Manchester bomber details
Stateside officials revealed the identity of ISIS jihadist Salman Abedi before it was confirmed by the Home Secretary Amber Rudd.
British-born Abedi killed 22 people at Manchester Arena following a concert by pop star Ariana Grande on Monday night.
And Mr Trump has now addressed the leak, which has strained relations between Downing Street and Washington, for the first time.
He tweeted: "British Prime Minister May was very angry that the info the UK gave to US about Manchester was leaked. Gave me full details!"
The President, who is back in the US after a nine-day tour of Europe and the Middle East, did not comment further.
Mrs May raised the issue with Mr Trump at a major Nato summit on Thursday and said he branded the disclosures "unacceptable".
Scotland Yard briefly suspended sharing intelligence with US counterparts but has since received assurances from the FBI.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson flew into the UK on Friday to apologise to Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson for the "unfortunate" leak.
He said: "With respect to the release of information inappropriately, certainly we condemn that.

Ms Rudd last week criticised American intelligence officials for making the details about 22-year-old Abedi public.
She said: "It is irritating if it gets released from other sources. I have been very clear with our friends that that should not happen again."
But when asked if it "compromised" the investigation into the Manchester terror attack, she said: "I wouldn't go that far."

And newly elected Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham said the leak was "disrespectful" to the victims' families.
Speaking on BBC show Question Time, he said: It's outrageous, I raised it with the US ambassador earlier in the week. I said: 'This can't be right."
Mr Burnham added: "I don't want a diplomatic row but this cannot happen again and we need to make that absolutely clear."
