RUTH DAVIDSON’S Scottish Tory party could form a coalition with Labour and the Lib Dems in a bid to oust Nicola Sturgeon’s SNP out of power, it has emerged.

A source close to the Scottish Conservative leader said they would be “happy” to work with the Labour Party following the next Holyrood elections in 2021.
The plot would mean the SNP, even as the biggest party, may not be able to form a government.
The source told the Mail on Sunday: "Our view is country comes before party - the Union is key. For us, it is about cutting the SNP down to size and kicking them out of power.

Ruth Davidson vowed to bring the SNP down to size in a scathing attack on Nicola Sturgeon when he launched her manifesto earlier this week.
The Scottish Tory leader hit out at her rival in a fiery speech in Scotland today, pledging to bring down the SNP on June 8 at the snap election.

She accused the SNP of failing the country, and pledged to stop Ms Sturgeon from "pulling the country apart".
And she accused Labour of propping up the SNP to divide Scotland rather than working with the Tories.
Ruth Davidson said: "We’re back. Back in the centre ground, with ideas to take our country forward.
“This election, we're offering to do something else, to send the SNP a clear message - no to their unwanted plan to another referendum.
