Brexit may NEVER happen! Leave campaigner reveals his fears over EU betrayal
A LEADING Leave campaigner has hit out at “the establishment” for attempting to derail Brexit.
Tory MP fears Brexit will NEVER happen
Conservative MP Peter Bone admitted he feared Brexit “may never happen” and said he was worried Remain supporters were still trying to delay the process.
Mr Bone, who helped set up campaign group Grassroots Out (GO), bashed MPs admitting they would attempt to delay Brexit despite 17.4million people voting to leave the European Union.
Speaking before the resignation of the UK’s ambassador to the EU Sir Ivan Rogers, the Wellingborough MP told BBC Look East: “We’re up against the establishment, we know there are certain people in Parliament that have made it clear that they don’t accept the result and they want to play the long game.
“And the longer we [take] before we exit the EU – there’s more chance of some event occurring, which will stop it or put it off.”

Despite saying he was hopeful Theresa May could deliver Brexit, he admitted he was still worried that an EU exit “may never happen”.
The comments come after 89 MPs last month voted against the Government triggering Article 50 by the end of March.
The Liberal Democrats also committed to holding a second EU referendum in another attempt to halt an immediate break from the European bloc.
Senior Lib Dem MP Norman Lamb, who backs the pledge, told the news channel: “We’ve got to accept and respect the judgement of the British people and I think there are very many people, increasing numbers of people, who recognise the need for us to negotiate a deal, which protects our economic interests.”
Sir Ivan Rogers resigned from his role as the UK's ambassador to the EU
Sir Ivan’s resignation on Tuesday has been interpreted by some as an attempt to thwart, or at least delay an EU exit.
Leave campaigner John Redwood has since blasted the former diplomat, saying he “couldn’t negotiate his way out of a paper bag” before insisting it was a positive move towards Brexit.
“It is better to have someone knows how to negotiate,” he told ITV’s Good Morning Britain.
“The danger with some of the officials in the United Kingdom, who are negotiating in the EU, has been that they are too ready to compromise and offer compromise to the other member states, who just bank them and ask for more.”
