Farage has accused Cameron of a “despicable” attempt to use Jo Cox's murder for political gain
The Ukip leader said the “scared witless” Remain camp was trying to “conflate” the motives of Ms Cox’s alleged killer with those of millions of voters who back Brexit.
The Prime Minister has faced criticism for retweeting a link to pro-Remain Ms Cox’s last newspaper article in which she argued that leaving the EU was not the answer to immigration problems.
Mr Farage told LBC and BBC Radio 4: “What we are seeing is the Prime Minister and the Remain campaign trying to conflate the actions of one individual with the motives of half of Britain who think we should get back control of our borders and do it sensibly.
“We have a Prime Minister and a Chancellor and other big political leaders in Britain who are scared witless.”
