It comes as seven senior political party figures met on ITV for a second TV clash last night.

The debate took place on ITV after last week's multi-party battle on BBC.

A bombshell poll by YouGov dropped just before ITV began broadcasting the debate which showed Reform had overtaken the Conservatives for the first time.

Introducing himself, Mr Farage said: "Just before we came on air we overtook the Conservatives in the national opinion polls. We are now the opposition to Labour."

The debate saw the politicians clash over topics including tax and immigration.

Mr Farage told Ms Mordaunt that a vote for the Tories is "actually now a vote for Labour".

But the senior Tory accused the Brexit architect being "a Labour enabler", a suggestion his party could split the right-wing vote.
