Tinder NOT WORKING? Facebook permission fixes BREAK popular dating app, here’s what to do
TINDER users have found themselves caught in an endless loop with Facebook permissions – with others losing all of their matches – following a number of changes rolled out by Facebook this week.
Some Tinder users have been left unable to login to Tinder, while others have seen matches disappear
Facebook has broken Tinder for many users, following a slew of permission changes.
Ever since the Cambridge Analytica privacy scandal, which saw the personal information of some 87 million Facebook users shared with the UK-based data mining company, Facebook has pushed through a number of security and data privacy updates.
However, these sweeping changes have had an unintended consequence for hugely-popular dating app, Tinder.
Tinder users started to complain about login issues with the app last night.
Users flooded social media to complain about being stuck in an infinite login loop purportedly triggered by an unknown bug.

Since Tinder users require a Facebook account to log into Tinder, this bug may have affected the data app’s entire userbase.
The login error has caused some users to lose previous matches and messaging history as well.
On Tinder, users swipe through a stack of dating profiles, swiping right to indicate an interest in the user, and left to reject them.
When two users both swipe-right on one another, they are able to start an instant message chat within the app.
Fortunately, the messaging history and matched users appears to have been preserved in the online version of the app, so those who are unable to see their previous matches should head there to continue flirting.
The issue is believed to have been triggered when Facebook removed the ability to search for people on its social network using their mobile phone number or email address.
Tinder has apologised for the error.
Tinder users are unable to access the app following a slew of permission changes from Facebook
It tweeted: “A technical issue is preventing users from logging into Tinder.
“We apologise for the inconvenience and are working to have everyone swiping again soon.”
Meanwhile, the web browser version of Tinder still works in the meantime.
In a statement to technology blog The Verge, Facebook said: “This was part of the changes that we announced today, and we are working with Tinder to address this issue.”
