Question Time's Leaders Special will feature Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn
Veteran Question Time presenter David Dimbleby will host the election special featuring the Conservative and Labour leaders in York tonight.
Theresa May is desperate for a strong showing after Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party has managed to close the gap on the Tories in the latest polls.
On Question Time yesterday, Liberal Democrat former Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg said it was “great shame” that the Prime Minister refused to take part in Wednesday’s BBC debate.
How to watch Question Time election special tonight
The election special will be shown on BBC One and on the BBC iPlayer website from 8.30pm tonight.

Viewers will be able to stream the election special via Twitter as well as watching the show on television.
A page for the live stream has been set up on Twitter and the hashtag for the election programme is #bbcdebate.
BBC Question Time tweeted "Tonight is our leadership special, and for the first time ever, we are live on Twitter".

What will the format be?
The format will be the same as the 2015 Question Time show between David Cameron and Ed Miliband.
Mrs May and Mrs Corbyn will hold the floor separately as they take questions from audience members.
Another Question Time election special, on Sunday 4 June, will feature Liberal Democrat leader Tim Farron and SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon. It will be broadcast on BBC One from 6pm.
