This new Samsung Galaxy S8 leak makes the iPhone look very outdated
The Samsung Galaxy S8 release date is fast approaching.
Samsung is expected to unveil its latest smartphone at a Samsung Unpacked media event on March 29th.
Ahead of the official announcement, the upcoming flagship phone has been subject to a series of devastating leaks.
The latest images, published online on social media and picked up by technology blog PcPOP, purport to show the Samsung Galaxy S8 beside an Apple iPhone 6.
And it makes the best-selling Apple smartphone look very, very outdated.

Samsung has purportedly dropped the physical home button to reduce the size of the phone
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is widely-tipped to arrive with an impressive 5.8-inch Quad HD display.
Samsung is rumoured to drop the physical Home Button from the front of the device in an effort to keep the overall footprint of the device down, so the phone is still comfortable to use one handed. And if these latest leaked pictures are accurate, it has clearly worked.
The Galaxy S8 appears only a fraction larger than the iPhone 6, despite the latter only boasting a 4.7inch display – some 1.1inches smaller than its Samsung rival.
Unfortunately, Samsung has had to make some compromises to pull off this stellar design feat.
Most noticeably, the South Korean technology company has relocated the fingerprint scanner to the rear phone.
Samsung is also rumoured to be launching a 6.2-inch QHD AMOLED display model, marketed as the Galaxy S8 Plus.

Both of these display sizes are larger than the Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
With the physical buttons gone from the Galaxy S8 range, navigation will now be handled by software buttons included along the bottom of the display.
Samsung has redesigned the stock on-screen navigation buttons that ship with Google Android.
The company has dropped the circle, square and triangle used in stock Android as the Home Button, Multi-Tasking and Back button.
The upcoming device will also sport an iris scanner, water resistant design and 64GB of expandable memory.
Qi wireless charging, contactless transactions via Samsung Pay and additional security features from Samsung Knox will also be included.
Leaked images of Galaxy S8 prototypes confirm the phone will have virtual on-screen buttons
It has previously been rumoured the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will use Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 processor.
The new Qualcomm chip is the company’s most powerful to date and should guarantee a buttery-smooth user experience for users.
The Snapdragon 835 is also the slimmest chip the company has ever made and will be much more efficient than previous generations meaning you should never see a drop in performance.
In fact the chip consumes 25 per cent less power than the Snapdragon 821, resulting in more battery life than previous Galaxy S smartphones.
Alongside the shiny new design and power efficient chip, Samsung will use the new phone to debut its new virtual assistant, dubbed Bixby.

And some whispers from South Korean even point to an updated S Health app that will direct Galaxy S8 owners to the nearest pharmacy, launch video chat conversations with GPs, and more.
Either way, all will be revealed at 16:00 GMT on March 29th 2017.
Express.co.uk will be at the latest Samsung Unpacked Event, and will bring you the latest news about the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, and any other announcements, as it breaks.
