Samsung Galaxy S8 could be the ultimate SELFIE phone
NEXT flagship device from Samsung could feature the most powerful front-facing camera to date.
Samsung is looking to provide a major boost for selfie fans
Samsung looks to be adding another major upgrade to its rumoured Galaxy S8 device as it prepares its biggest and best smartphone yet.
The South Korean phone maker is hard at work ahead of a possible release date early next year for the Galaxy S8.
The device should feature the company's most advanced hardware to date, including a new powerful processor and larger screen - but may also now come with a boosted camera too.

That's according to sources speaking to Korean new site ET News claim that the front-facing camera on the device will feature autofocus capability for the first time.
This is important news for selfie fans, as autofocus will allow users to take more detailed shots than ever before.
Few devices around today pack in autofocus for their front camera, with the newly-released OnePlus 3T the main exception.
Most smartphones now come with autofocus technology for their rear lenses, which often pack in more megapixels than their front-facing counterparts as they are not limited in physical size.
Will Samsung's next smartphone be the most powerful Android device ever?
A source speaking to ET News said, “People are starting to take more selfies and number of demands for cameras that take selfies with higher qualities is increasing.”
“It is heard that Samsung Electronics has decided to install front actuators for Galaxy S8 in order to differentiate its flagship Smartphone.”
The report also claims that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be slimmer than its predecessor.
This is due to an advance in the VCM (Voice Coil Motor) used in the device's front camera, meaning that the entire camera module, and the phone as a whole, can be thinner.
Samsung should reveal the Galaxy S8 early next year
The news comes shortly after separate reports say that the Galaxy S8 will come with some seriously powerful hardware.
Rumours from the Chinese social network Weibo claim that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will come with 256GB of storage and 6GB of RAM as its basic standard.
This marks a huge step up from the previous Galaxy S7 device, however this will be needed if, as expected, the Galaxy S8 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, which was officially unveiled earlier this month.
Reports have claimed that Samsung is set to reveal two new devices, with the standard Samsung Galaxy S8 coming with a 5.7 inch screen, a significant upgrade on the current flagship device, the 5.1 inch Galaxy S7.
There will also be a larger device, the Galaxy S8 plus, which may be the company's biggest device to date, reportedly sporting a 6.2 inch nearly edge-to-edge display.
Samsung typically launches its latest devices at the Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona in February, but Samsung fans may have slightly longer to wait for their next upgrade.
That’s because sources now claim that Samsung is now taking extra care to avoid a repeat of the fiasco surrounding the Galaxy Note 7 launch.
Samsung was criticised after reports suggested it had rushed out the Note 7 without proper testing in order to capitalise on consumer anticipation.
