OnePlus 3T will be OnePlus' most powerful device yet
UPGRADED edition of hit OnePlus 3 device will feature a majorly fast processor and improved software - but will come at a price.
The OnePlus 3 could soon get a more powerful sibling
More details have emerged about the upcoming flagship device from OnePlus.
The Chinese phone maker scored a surprise hit with its OnePlus 3 smartphone, which won plaudits for its powerful hardware and low price.
The company is now looking to improve upon this with the launch of its next device, the highly-anticipated OnePlus 3T.
According to notorious online leakster Evan Blass, the OnePlus 3T will now come sporting the super fast Snapdragon 821 processor from Qualcomm.
The device will also drop the AMOLED display seen in the original OnePlus 3 for an LCD panel, allowing for brighter and sharper images, giving a boost for media and gaming fans.
However the inclusion of this updated hardware will come at a price, as Blass suggests that the OnePlus 3T will cost $80 more than its older sibling.
The OnePlus 3T will pack in some seriously powerful hardware
Reports of the OnePlus 3T first emerged earlier this month, when a device with the model number A3010 was spotted during the approval process of the China Compulsory Certification – a compulsory safety check that needs to be passed by any products imported, sold or used in the Chinese market.
The news came shortly after OnePlus hit back at rumours that the OnePlus 3 handset was on the brink of extinction.
This followed reports that it was planning to halt production of the OnePlus 3 due to a shortage of AMOLED display panels, leading to rumours that company would now move on to developing the OnePlus 4.
