BBC launch their best EVER app for older kids
GO CBBC hits app stores today and is packed with fun for children
Go CBBC has just been launched by the BBC
There's a new app that might help keep the kids entertained over the Christmas holidays.
It's called GO CBBC and is the first of its kind from the BBC.
The app is packed full of content from the popular children's channel and includes games, video clips and even full episodes of the most popular programmes.
Like Flipboard for kids, GO CBBC uses a simple grid that children can swipe through to find their favourite shows.
And it will be refreshed daily bringing the latest bulletins from unique CBBC news service Newsround as well as access to BBC iPlayer favourites.
There's also plenty of exciting games to play featuring some of CBBC’s favourite characters and award-winning series such as The Dumping Ground, Wolfblood and Horrible Histories.
As you'd expect from the BBC, the app is free and doesn't include pocket money-busting in-app purchases.

GO CBBC is full of new ways for our audience to enjoy the things they love
Patrick Healy, Head of Product for BBC Children’s, said: “GO CBBC is full of new ways for our audience to enjoy the things they love. According to Ofcom research earlier this autumn the majority of children in the UK own a mobile phone and now also have access to a tablet at home.
"Increasingly, we’re seeing our youth audiences interacting with their favourite CBBC brands online and GO CBBC is an extension of this.
"It offers our audiences the opportunity to discover more from their favourite shows and characters, wherever and whenever they are.”
Go CBBC is available from today on Apple, Android and Amazon Kindle devices.
