Hundreds of Spotify users have taken to the internet to complain about issues when trying to use the music streaming platform. More than 30,000 people went on the site Downdetector to flag problems they were experiencing with the service.
One wrote: "How am I supposed to survive finals without my hype playlist?" Another added: "Can’t even get my stuff to load." Amid the outage seemingly being experienced by many, Spotify Status issued a statement on X, reading: "We're aware of some issues right now and are checking them out!"

Spotify users began reporting issues with the platform at around 2.30pm, culminating in 10,000 reports from the UK and 30,000 from the US.
While the cause of the issues remain unknown, users could not access their music libraries, or play songs or podcasts.
By 3pm, the number of complaints on Down Detector has dropped dramatically, down to just a couple hundred.
Spotify Status, which tracks the performance of the app on X, said at around 3.30pm that the issues had been given the "all clear".

Then, clear the cache, log out/in, and update the app/OS.

There were 271 reports of Spotify being down at 3.25pm, according to Down Detector.
Reports start to decline
The number of issues with Spotify reported to Down Detector bagan falling at around 3pm, with people in the comments saying the app was now working for them.
However, there are still 335 reports as of 3.17pm, so the issue has not been solved for everyone.
Spotify users react to problem
Spotify users have taken to social media to express their frustration at the music platform being down.
One person wrote: "Spotify come back! You’re an integral part of my daily routine you can’t just go down like that."
Another added: "Of all the days Spotify chose to be down it had to be a Monday:("

Spotify said it had been made aware that users have been reporting it down and were "checking them out".
It wrote on X: "We’re aware of some issues right now and are checking them out!"
