WhatsApp down: Global outage as thousands of users report 'unexpected error' message
Several WhatsApp users are reporting issues with the hugely popular instant messaging app.

Thousands of WhatsApp users are reporting that the global instant messaging service has gone down, with many reporting seeing an "unexpected error" message appearing on their screens.
Downdetector is currently showing a huge spike in problems on WhatsApp that have been reported to the website. One person wrote: "'Unexpected error occurred'. [Reload]. Can't do anything else." Several users worldwide have experienced issues when logging in from their computers, according to a post on X by Globovision. The page reportedly stalls and displays the message: "An error occurred." According to Dondetector, 64% of the failures occur when trying to log in from a computer.

Users across the globe facing the issue
Several users across the globe are reporting the issue.
One user wrote on X: "Hello!! Is anyone in Argentina having problems with WhatsApp Web??? It won't connect on me, it's giving me an error."
Another said: "WhatsApp is down for many users in India."
A third user wrote: "Global problem. Here in Chile it's down too."
