There's an all-new Ring Doorbell arriving next month that offers some much-needed upgrades over previous models. This latest entry-level security device - called the Ring Battery Video Doorbell - will start shipping to customers from September 4th and includes a clever new camera that can record Head-to-Toe HD video.

Ring boasts that Head-to-Toe video offers 66 percent taller views compared to the previous generation and makes features like Package Alerts more helpful.
In addition to Head-to-Toe HD video, this new cheaper Ring features Colour Night Vision, so you can see what’s going on outside your front door throughout the day or night with brighter and clearer visuals.
The next big update that's sure to impress is much longer battery life. In fact, this camera will keep going 23 percent longer than before which means less time charging and more time with it stuck to the front door. With these cameras having no access to electricity, a larger power pack is a vital addition that will help to keep recordings going for longer.
The final bonus of the new Ring is an all-new push-pin mount design. This is meant to make installing it easier and removing it to refill the power pack a lot less hassle.
Once it's on the wall or door you simply push to securely attach the doorbell to the mount, and when it’s time to recharge the battery, it's easily released by inserting the new push-pin tool.
Just like all other Ring devices, the new Battery Video Doorbell features motion detection with Customisable Motion Zones and real-time alerts, Live View, and the ability to talk to anyone on other end of the doorbell anytime with Two-Way Talk.
Those opting for a Ring Protect subscription (£4.99 per month) also get access Smart Alerts, which inform them if there’s a person or a package at their door, receive Rich Notifications so they can see exactly what triggered an alert with a photo preview in pop-up notifications on their phone, store the camera’s captured footage in the cloud for up to 180 days, and more.
