You can get two months of Kindle Unlimited totally free. This lets you read as many books as you want on your Kindle, smartphone or tablet.

The service is normally £9.49 per month, and you can cancel before you get charged for the third month.

Amazon is offering two months free of Kindle Unlimited, its subscription reading service. Once signed up, you have access to more than one million Kindle books, thousands of audiobooks and a huge selection of magazines.

You need an Amazon account to sign up to the service (not an Amazon Prime subscription though), but make sure to use our links here to get the two-month free deal. Usually if you haven’t used Kindle Unlimited before you can get one free month, so this double deal should ensure you’re covered for all your summer break and then some.

Using the Wi-Fi connection on your Kindle, you can then browse and download up to 20 titles at a time, but they have no return date and you can read as many eBooks as you’d like. Unlimited won’t quite have everything (the ‘Unlimited’ refers to the fact you can read as much as you want once subscribed) but you can be sure you’ll find something in there that tasks your fancy, from the latest bestsellers to classic novels to the best non-fiction around.

“All kinds of books are available through Kindle Unlimited, from popular best sellers to classics and beyond,” Amazon says on its website. “You can search categories like biographies and memoirs, romance, self-help, and thriller to find your next read. In all, Amazon offers access to millions of eBooks with Kindle Unlimited.”

Best of all, you don’t even need a Kindle device to use Kindle Unlimited as you can also access your subscription through the free Kindle app on your smartphone or tablet.

Kindle Unlimited usually costs £9.49 per month, which, if you are a voracious reader, could be worth it to read as much as you want. It’s the cost of a regular paperback these days, after all. When you sign up to the two month deal you agree to pay for the third month as Amazon stores your payment details, but it also states you can cancel at any time - so if you just want the free reading, set a reminder to cancel the subscription and you won’t pay anything after two months of unlimited reads.

All Kindle books included with Unlimited are tagged with the Kindle Unlimited icon throughout Amazon’s Kindle Store, but you can also filter books under the ‘Read for Free’ section so you know everything there is downloadable.

If you want to pick up an Amazon Kindle device, you can do so here. And happy reading!
