Twitter reacts to Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp outages
Social media services Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram have been hit by a worldwide outage, with millions of users unable to access their favourite platforms today. Aside from each service not working, they all have one thing that ties them together and that is entrepreneur Mark Zuckerberg. So what do we know about the man behind the app?
Mark Zuckerberg is currently the co-founder and CEO of Facebook, and co-founder and co-CEO of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.
The US-based billionaire is one of the world's most famous, mainly for his founding of Facebook, used by billions of people every day.
He has racked up an impressive net worth of more than $40 billion (£29 billion).
But he and his company started from comparatively humble beginnings.

Born to a psychiatrist and dentist in New York, he was raised in a Reform Jewish household.
He excelled at school, receiving a peppering of prizes in maths and science subjects, and started programming in his middle school years.
His father taught him Atari BASIC Programming in the 1990s, and hired him a private tutor to continue his computing education.
Mr Zuckerberg eventually went on to study at Harvard where, following in the footsteps of other tech trailblazers, he dropped out.
Facebook started life as "The Facebook", which he developed in his dorm room to connect Harvard students.
He eventually spread it, with the help of his roommate Dustin Moskovitz, across other elite American institutions.
The social media platform only grew from there, and has since become a family of applications.
Facebook as a company now owns WhatsApp and Instagram, with Mr Zuckerberg now in charge of three giants.
