Buying a new phone doesn't come cheap and new 2024 upgrades can cost shoppers as much as £1,000. However, a new Samsung deal, proves you don't have to fork out hundreds for a new handset.

Amazon has dropped the price of a top-tier Samsung device, to below £100. The unmissable bargain has been spotted by Amazon shoppers ahead of its upcoming July Prime Day.

The Galaxy A15 smartphone has been listed on the retail giant for only £95.24, £74 cheaper than the usual price. As Samsung's most affordable budget-friendly A Series device, this handset has always offered scaled-down features to provide a cost-effective option for shoppers.

Amazon has launched an unmissable discount on one of Samsung's budget phone - the A15.

Now £74 cheaper than Samsung's own price the A15 is a go-to model for shoppers with less money to spend but still looking for a quality smartphone.

The pre-Prime Day sale price means the Samsung phone is hundreds of pounds cheaper to buy outright. It only takes a quick look at O2s A15 contract to show the drastic difference - as it charges £25.42 per month on a 36month contract. That's a huge £822 more expensive.

This is spread over a total of 36 months and includes data, UK calls, and minutes - undoubtedly making it easier for shoppers as you don't need to find a data bundle separately. However, this convenience comes with a higher price tag, as the Manchester Evening News reports.

Despite its lower price tag, there are several reasons why this budget-friendly model is worth considering. Firstly, Amazon's deal offers shoppers a relatively new 2023 device for a fraction of the cost of an S24 range model.

The Galaxy A15 boasts a decent storage capacity of 128GB - the same as the standard S24 model. Of course, there are scrimps in terms of camera and video capabilities, which typically drive up the prices of high-end models like the iPhone 15 or S24. However, the Galaxy A15 does offer a decent lens for amateur photographers.

According to Samsung: "The Galaxy A15 boasts a 50MP Main camera for your masterpiece, 5MP Ultra Wide and 2MP Macro cameras for landscapes and close-ups, and a 13MP Front camera for profile-worthy selfies".

Now £74 cheaper than Samsung's own price the A15 is a go-to model for shoppers with less money to spend but still looking for a quality smartphone.

Even though its "a lower mid-range phone, it doesn't always feel like it", according to one recent Amazon shopper. As they added their experience of the budget device: "While it lacks the headline styling and specs of a flagship phone, what it has is most of what you want.

"A brilliant screen with rich colours, great contrast and a smooth refresh rate, a large battery that easily lasts all day even with heavy use and a main camera that delivers clean, sharp photos in most lighting conditions.

"Sure, the processor is a little economical (although most people won't notice), the wide-angle camera is a bit soft (just use the main camera instead) and the frame and chassis are largely plastic (albeit solid and aesthetically pleasing plastic)... but the A15's priorities more than makeup for its compromises."

Another shopper, who switched to the A15 from a Huawei said:"I had an old Huawei P10 and originally purchased a P30 to replace it as I thought it would be easier to transfer everything, but that proved to be wrong. I returned the P30 and got a refund (£260) and bought this Samsung A15."

However, some customers were less pleased, pointing out that there is no charger included in the new A15 box, although this is now standard practice with new models, including the flagship S24 or Apple iPhone 15.

If you're in the market for a new mobile from Google, Samsung, or Apple, we'd recommend checking out Amazon or Carphone Warehouse. Tesco Mobile is currently offering the Motorola Moto G14, another budget-friendly option.
