Mrs Hinch fans have shared their go-to method for cleaning oven glass without leaving unsightly scratches.

Ovens need to be deep cleaned every three months to keep them working efficiently, however, if you use your oven more frequently then you may need to clean it more often.

Signs that your oven needs cleaning include unpleasant smells, residue on the oven door, burnt-on food and smoke.

One person who was struggling to clean her oven glass was Leanne Marie Paisey. Unsure of how exactly to clean her oven door without scratching it, she asked Mrs Hinch fans for help.

She posted on the Facebook group, 'Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips': "Top tips for cleaning oven glass and not scratching glass, please?"

The post was inundated with more than 150 comments from fellow cleaning enthusiasts but one of the most suggested solutions was to use a dishwasher tablet.

Agnes Pollock said: "Dishwasher tablets bring it up a treat. Wet glass and rub the tablet in like a paste. Leave (it) for 10 minutes or less and wipe off."

Julie Clark commented: "Use a wet warm dishwasher tablet, sounds crazy and I was sceptical but it really works and [it's] so easy."

Rita Herd replied: "I have just used a dishwasher tablet. Fantastic - looks like new." Jane Shaw suggested: "Dishwasher tablets work every time. No scratches."

Dishwasher tablets can be bought from most local supermarkets or online if you don't already have them.

Morrisons Savers Lemon Dishwasher Tablets cost £1.99 for a pack of 40 which works out at just 5p per tablet. House 24/7 Dishwasher Tabs cost £1.49 for 30 from Sainsbury's which works out at 5p per tablet.

Other suggestions from Mrs Hinch fans included using baking soda and vinegar, The Pink Stuff paste and Elbow Grease.

Gemma Leeson said: "Elbow Grease spray, I used it on a client's oven door today."

Janet Ogden replied: "Pink Stuff is always good."

Gill Brears wrote: "Bicarbonate of soda and white vinegar, use a non-scratch sponge, dry with kitchen paper."
