'I no longer have to clean my air-fryer because of a magic £3 buy'

Air fryers are a game changer for so many people, but cleaning them can be a bit of a pain - until now.

Many people have swapped their traditional oven for an air-fryer because it cooks faster and costs less money to run than a conventional oven.

However, cleaning them can be somewhat troublesome, with grease and grime accumulating around the edges, especially if you've cooked fresh meat.

There are specific cleaners available, such as the £1.29 Elbow Grease Air-Fryer Cleaner, which helps to maintain an air-fryer's cleanliness.

But journalist Emma Gill's most recent purchase from B&M means she "no longer needs to clean the air-fryer at all", she reported on Manchester Evening News (MEN).

The Silicone Air-Fryer Liners cost £3 for a pack of two, and are available in round or rectangular shapes to fit the shape of your air-fryer.

"I used the rectangular ones in the drawers of my Ninja Foodi dual air-fryer, and they're perfect," Emma beamed.

"The chicken drumsticks I was preparing would typically leave a mess in the drawer, including meat juices and greasy residue," said Emma.

"It's much simpler to remove the liners for washing rather than dealing with the bulky drawer, and the non-stick surface makes them easy to clean - they're even dishwasher safe."

Emma added: "They can be used for any food you'd normally cook in your air-fryer, and they don't alter the cooking process or taste, as it's equivalent to placing food directly into the machine. This could potentially be the best three pounds I've ever spent."

A commentator on MEN said: "You can get them cheap on sites like Amazon, Temu and Aliexpress. I got mine off Temu.

"The problem with them is, they block the holes on the bottom racks in Ninjas and I'm guessing it will be the same with others and it will not cook your food fully all around, so if you use them, turning the food half way through cooking is a must."

Somebody else felt concerned with how "massive" the silicone liners looked, but another person rebuffed: "Don't look that big to me."
