‘Works on every stain!’ Mrs Hinch fans share top tips to remove grease marks from clothing
GREASE stains can cause havoc on clothing, making them impossible to remove, but a group of clever cleaners know just the trick to get rid of the pesky marks.

Cleaning sensation, Mrs Hinch, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, rose to fame on social media and has amassed more than four million followers on her Instagram page. Her ingenious techniques have inspired thousands of people to develop an effective cleaning routine.
Now, fans of hers have formed their own groups on social media dedicated to sharing nifty cleaning hacks.
One group member sought advice on how to remove grease stains from clothing.
Responding to the post, one person commented: “Elbow grease spray is excellent.”
A second person said: “Squirt a little washing up liquid on the grease stain, leave for about ten to fifteen minutes, then put into the washing machine and wash as normal.”

A third online user posted: “I used washing up liquid and a soft toothbrush and it got it out.”
A fourth person offered: “Talcum powder - lots of it - leave it a few days in the laundry basket, then wash as normal (better if you haven’t added any water to the grease stain)”
Another person suggested using Deepio powder.
One online user explained: “Before you try washing get a brown paper bag, get a warm iron, put the garment on the ironing board, put the brown paper over the grease mark and run the warm iron over it.

“The grease should come out of the garment and into the brown paper.”
Another group member commented: “Fairy washing up liquid, the green one, just rub it in, leave for a while and wash.”
One online user suggested: “Desolvit stain and pre wash remover.
“I can only get it on Amazon now. It gets everything out. Tesco used to sell it but haven't seen it in there for a long time.”

Sharing their technique, another person advised: “Put talcum powder on the grease stain then kitchen paper and iron, it absorbs the grease one hundred percent.”
Another person recommended using a Vanish bar to remove the stains.

“Lemon fairy washing up liquid put on and leave for a while, then wash as normal,” said another.
Agreeing that washing up liquid was an effective product for removing grease stains, one person explained: “Fairy up liquid with hot water scrubs it, put it in the washing machine.
"You can’t beat Fairy, it works on every stain.”
While another person suggested using Dr Beckman to tackle the grease stains.
