The ‘Intelligence Test’: If you can solve THIS maths challenge, you have an 'IQ over 150'
THE PUZZLE has taken the internet by storm, and is leaving people all over the world stumped.
Can You Solve This Intelligence Test that's got everyone stumped?
Over three million people have taken the ’Intelligence Test’, which claims to separate fake brains from true geniuses.
The teasing maths challenge was first shared on YouTube, and has since taken the Facebook world by storm.
Social media has gone into a spiral over the test, which instructs those who attempt it ‘share if you understand’.
Unsurprisingly, thousands of people have clicked the ‘share’ button, in a bid to boast their apparently high IQ.
Can you solve this puzzle?
But one tricky test enthusiast wanted to test just how many people were really telling the truth.
A YouTube user who goes by Presh Talwalker devised another puzzle, using the same rule as the first video.
Presh said of his version: “If you understand the rule you should be able to solve this problem.”
Can you work it out?
The test claims if you can solve it you have an IQ of 150
The teaser lists the following eight sums, and next to it a question: ‘? + ? = 123’:
6 + 4 = 210
9 + 2 = 711
8 + 5 = 313
5 + 2 = 37
7 + 6 = 113
9 + 8 = 117
10 + 6 = 416
15 + 3 = 1218
The solution requires identifying the pattern each of the sums has in common.
When you break down the numbers, you identify two separate figures: 1 and 23.
The quiz reveals the formula as follows: x + y = (x - y) (x + y). Thus, the formula should read 12 + 11 = 123.
It comes after this puzzle sent the internet into overdrive, in attempt to spot the mistake.
