Finding beauty products that suit your skin type and give you visible results can be a very time-consuming and expensive task. Thankfully, many shoppers think they've hit the jackpot with a two-step overnight face mask that not only gives them 'soft and plump' skin, it makes them 'age in reverse'.

Medik8's H.E.O Mask has become a staple product in many skincare routines with it giving 'exceptional' results. The brand says the overnight mask will make you wake up to 'visibly plump, glowing and intensely hydrated skin'.

The mask, which costs £60 on the Medik8 website can be bought for the same price at LookFantastic, includes two 50ml bottles - Step 1 and Step 2 - that you use one after the other. Medik8 says the product takes a scientific approach to optimal maximum skin moisturisation to deliver clinically proven hydration, moisture retention and barrier support. Some results are instant, while others develop over time.

The H.E.O mask has three key pillars of moisturisation - humectants, emollients and occlusives - that give the product its name. They're combined in an 'expertly optimised ratio' to improve the appearance of dryness, dullness, fine lines and wrinkles while you sleep.

Medik8 recommends using the overnight mask as the final step in your evening skincare routine. After cleansing your face, smooth an almond-sized amount of Step 1 of the H.E.O. Mask over your face, neck and décolletage, avoiding the eye area.

Allow the product to absorb for a few minutes then gently massage another almond-sized amount of Step 2 of the H.E.O. Mask into the same areas and leave on overnight. The skincare brand recommends using the mask two to three times a week.

The two-step overnight face mask has over 240 reviews on the Medik8 website and boasts an impressive overall rating of 4.9 out of five. One delighted buyer awarded it full marks and said: "I am in love with all things Medik8, but this is exceptional. It feels lovely on your skin, and when I wake up in the morning, I swear my face looks more perfectly plump and oh-so-soft. Medik8 is making me age in reverse, and their products are so complimentary with my sensitive, super-combo oily and dry skin."

A second wrote: "Excellent moisturising effect. Absolutely satisfied with this mask and it met all my expectations. I feel the effect in the morning, the skin is tightened. The mask does not make the skin greasy, and has a very economical consumption."

A third commented: "This mask combo is amazing. I've used different overnight masks on my face, some high end, but this mask was really comfortable to sleep in. Wasn't greasy, it soaked beautifully into my skin. The next morning my face felt like silk, much smoother and was really illuminated and plump. I've been using it in my skincare routine once a week, especially after I have used an acid or dermablading, and it has certainly made a difference to my skin."

"It's such a treat to use this a few nights a week, I always wake up with calm, plump skin," explains another happy customer who awarded the face mask five stars. They did, however, note a slight downside, as they continued: "For me there's a very slight tingle from the gel upon application, but it doesn’t last long and it doesn't exacerbate my rosacea."

If you'd like to add the H.E.O Mask to your evening skincare routine, you can purchase it from Medik8 here for £60. Other retailers selling overnight face masks include John Lewis, with the retailer offering the Fresh Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask for £86 for a 100ml tub. LookFantastic has a LANEIGE Bouncy and Firm Sleeping Mask priced at £32 for a 60ml tub.
