Do you remember The Crystal Maze? You know the iconic 90's TV gameshow with host Richard O'Brien?

The show saw contestants taking part in mini-games in a bid to win crystals.

Now fans of the TV show have been able to bring the game to life with The Crystal Maze Live Experience where you can relive the 90's phenomenon.

There are two locations including London's Soho and Manchester's Lower Byrom Street.

We arrived at the London location where there were five of us trying to crack the game, however, there can be a total of up to eight players in one team.

Once you start the 75-minute experience, it feels like you are setting onto the set of the TV show with how realistic it is replicated.

All of these are against the clock, naturally. The more challenges you complete successfully, the more crystals you win and the more time you’ll have for The Crystal Dome.

There were four zones in total including, Medieval, Industrial, Futuristic and Aztec where we were guided around by our very own Maze Master.

In each zone, we had to choose from a physical, mental, skills or mystery challenge.

Some of the games we took part in were tomb stones, emojoy, alien operation, spikes of death, king's table, mumsie's bells, cross word and worldwide stragegy.

However, the hardest game out of them all was wobble board in the aztec zone where we had to slowly move a ball down a maze without it falling off. Sounds easy, right?

But apparently it is the hardest game in the maze with players struggling the most.

Each games took around two to three minutes to complete with some challenges requiring just an individual team member or group tasks.

In between travelling between the four zones we had to crawl through a tunnel, go down a slide and climb across a 'fake' river.

Once we got to the final, we managed to bag 10 crystals meaning we had one minute and 20 seconds to grab as many gold tokens in The Crystal Dome.

We managed to grab 132 gold tokens but when you go just make sure you don't pick up those pesky silves ones which deducted points from your overall total.

Overall, the game is a great experience for everyone to enjoy and where you can show off your competitive side with your friends and family.

Standard tickets for The Crystal Maze start from £62 but you must have one adult over the age of 18 per team that can include any children 9-16.

Meanwhile, those aged 16-18 can play unaccompanied by an adult. A minimum of three tickets per order and must include at least one child ticket.
