Cressida Dick net worth: Commissioner's eye-watering fortune after leaving Met Police
CRESSIDA DICK resigned as Metropolitan Police Commissioner after nearly 37 years of service. What is her net worth?
Cressida Dick resigns as Met Police Commissioner
London mayor Sadiq Khan said he had lost confidence in Commissioner Cressida Dick after a series of scandals about the alleged misogynistic and racist conduct of some of her officers.
Cressida Dick said: "It is clear that the mayor no longer has sufficient confidence in my leadership to continue."
But what is the former Met Police Commissioner net worth?
According to Explorenetworth, Cressida Dick has a fortune of around £1.5million.
It is believed the main source of income was her role as a senior British Police Officer.
Dame Cressida Dick had a salary of £230,000 a year as the Met Commissioner.
She reportedly took a voluntary pay cut of 15 percent.
Cressida was offered a salary of £270,648 a year, plus benefits, according to the BBC.
That is £40,000 less than what the previous Commissioner, Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, earned.
It is reported Cressida also has three pensions estimated to pay out £160,000-a-year.
Dame Cressida could receive two thirds of the £230,000 salary as a pension due to the length of her service.
That would be on top of a cash settlement as she leaves her contract 18 months early, the Evening Standard reported.
She also owns a £1million house she shares with partner Helen Ball.
Helen is a retired Metropolitan Police inspector.
After resigning and leaving her position in the Met Police in February 2022, reports suggest she may take on a new high-profile public role or carry out consultancy work.
Cressida joined the Met Police in 1983.
In 2009, she was promoted to assistant commissioner.
Dame Cressida was later appointed Met Commissioner in 2017.
After a career in the police force of nearly 37 years, Cressida was awarded the Queen's Police Medal.
The former Commissioner was expected to lead the force until April 2024 after the Mayor and Home Secretary extended her contract last year.
