A food reviewer who forked out £750 for a Harrods Easter egg is being slammed online for overlooking one detail that's a huge flaw with the chocolate treat.

Many of us indulge in purchasing Easter eggs for our dear ones during this season, but £750 might be pushing the envelope a bit too far. Easter Sunday is just over a week away, and the majority of us will have amassed a modest hoard of chocolate eggs and other Easter treats in anticipation of the grand day.
However, if you're still on the hunt for that ideal Easter indulgence and happen to possess an extraordinarily generous budget, then Harrods may just have the egg of your fantasies - or so believes one food critic online who sampled the £750 titan.
Carmie Sellitto recently acquired an Easter egg from Harrods' new chocolate counter that cost him more than what most families would spend on their groceries for an entire month.
The £750 Easter egg originated from the Marchesi 1824 counter in the Harrods food court, which Carmie described as a "brand new" stall at the luxury department store named after a renowned pastry shop in Milan, Italy.
He stated that the chocolates sold at the counter are all handmade, which accounts for some of the hefty price tag attached to the Easter egg Carmie purchased.
Tipping the scales at an astonishing 1kg, the egg boasts delicate icing and a complex design, adorned with golden crowns and gold stripes cascading down the length of the dark chocolate marvel.
Upon picking up the egg, Carmie exclaimed: "This is a beast. I need to be so careful because it's an actual masterpiece. Look at the details of this! I have to take some photos of this egg because this will go down in history."
Holding the egg didn't feel "real" and that he felt "like a prince" thanks to the crown designs on the enormous chocolate confection. And he was similarly astonished when he eventually bit into the top of the egg.
The food enthusiast declared: "I've taken a couple of bites, and already the chocolate is just so good. It just tastes like the most expensive chocolate I've ever tried in my life – probably because it is.
"It's 100% the best Easter egg I've ever tried in my life. I'm going to go ahead and rate this a solid 10/10."

While Carmie was astounded by the costly Easter egg and apparently believed it justified the £750 price tag, commenters on his post were incensed at his response, as they felt he'd overlooked one significant drawback.
One individual highlighted: "Nothing inside the egg for £750 is outrageous." Someone else remarked: "Too much money, no sense."
Others suggested the egg appeared "cheap" despite the extortionate price, whilst another observed that £750 represents sufficient money to feed a family of five for a month, so it made "no sense" to spend that on an Easter egg.
One stated: "That's rent. That's food for a family of five for a month." And a second contended: "Bro is just lying to himself. I know it was mid."
