Asda increases prices for customers working these 29 jobs from Tuesday
Supermarket giant Asda is ending a major discount in all stores from Tuesday for people working any of these 29 jobs.
Supermarket giant Asda has announced it will make a huge change in all UK stores from Tuesday as it axes a popular discount scheme it was partnered with.
Asda has announced the end of its Blue Light Card scheme from May 27, 2025, which means it will no longer offer discounts to people with Blue Light Cards, such as nurses, doctors, police officers and civil servants. Currently, people with Blue Light Cards can link them to their Asda Rewards app, and get 5% off all full price purchases. It means that on a £100 shop, Asda would give £5 cashback paid to customers into the app as money to spend in-store off your next shop.
But the offer is ending as of Tuesday at 11.59pm. Asda announced on its website: “Asda’s partnership with Blue Light Card is coming to an end on 27th May 2025.
“From 13th May 2025 11:00 Blue Light Card members will no longer be able to link their Blue Light Card Membership to their Asda Rewards Account. Any accounts linked before this date will continue to receive the exclusive member offer as detailed in the Terms & Conditions until 27th May 2025 23:59, at which point the offer will be removed.”
The Blue Light Card scheme gives money off in various retailers for people who work in many public sector jobs and emergency services.
