IT"S the final series of Downton Abbey and it looks like there's time for one final elaborate period wedding.
Downton's Laura Carmichael has been spotted filming Carson's wedding scenes
Laura Carmichael, who plays Lady Edith Crawley in the show, was spotted filming new scenes in Burghclere wearing a stunning 1920s style dress.
Wearing matching teal gloves and a hat, the star smiled for the cameras with a brown overcoat keeping her warm in the spring winds.
The nuptials of Mr Carson and Mrs Hughes is something fans have been looking forward to since the Carson popped the question on the Christmas special.
It wasn't an elaborate affair, but one of love and passion as he requested Mrs Hughes' hand in marriage. Carson said: "Take your time to decide but know that I'm not marrying anyone else."

Mrs Hughes replied: "Oh Mr Carson I can assure the very last thing in the world that I am in this moment is offended."
The filming comes after it was revealed to the public this series, season six, of the show will be its last.
Executive producer Gareth Neame said: "There are no definite plans to make a spinoff. But again, I wouldn't rule it out."
Speaking exclusively to express.co.uk, Catherine Steaman added: Everyone knew in series five that series six was going to be the final series, and knowing the little I know about the direction it's going in it totally makes sense.

"I think it will come to a very exciting and fulfilling conclusion. Julian's sort of thought long and hard about it and it's the best possible ending."
With such a huge cast and crew, it seems surprising the news was kept between them without one slip up. Catherine explained she didn't find it a difficult secret to keep.
"No, it wasn't difficult to keep the secret because everybody just does. I suppose it's the same as any series that people are interested in.
"They have to keep it a secret because otherwise it would just spoil the surprise."
