Cutty Sark: National Treasure
This is the story of the world-famous clipper ship Cutty Sark from her launch in 1869 to present-day restoration work. We meet the key people responsible for bringing this national treasure back to life, including the Duke of Edinburgh.
Conservation work began in 2006 but fire broke out just months into the project.
Thankfully, the damage to one of the most historically significant ships in the world was less serious than first thought and we meet the men and women who are combining traditional skills with pioneering techniques to restore her to her former glory.
Their labour of love is expected to finish this spring with an official reopening ceremony due to be carried out by the Queen.
