Status Quo’s Rick Parfitt 'may have performed last show' after pulling out of tour
STATUS QUO guitarist Rick Parfitt has pulled out of the band's current tour after suffering a heart attack in July.

The 67-year-old’s doctors have told him he needs to rest up for the remainder of 2016, but sadly for fans, it seems he may never perform with the band again.
Simon Porter, Status Quo’s manager, revealed Rick “died” for several minutes following a heart attack which left the star with “mild cognitive impairments".
“[Rick was] recovering well [but was] far from being fit enough to undertake the rigours of Quo’s touring schedule," he explained.

He added: “His medical team continue to be confident of a full recovery, but Rick's absolute priorities for the foreseeable future are for his health and well-being."
“[Rick] may well have performed his last show with Quo.”
A press statement read: “Rick will also use his convalescence period to compose songs for a long overdue solo album which he plans to record early next year.
It continued: “In the meantime, both Rick and the band would like to thank the fans for their continued understanding and support.”
Guest musicians will play for the rest of Status Quo’s 2016 tour, including Richie Malone.
The band’s Last Night of the Electrics tour begins in Vienna on October 12 and will perform around the world until Christmas.
The band have performed for nearly 50 years
Status Quo’s first big hit was 1967’s Pictures of Matchstick Men.
The band, who are known for their boogie rock, have had 60 chart hits in the UK.
Their other famous songs include Whatever You Want and Rockin’ All Over the World.
