PS5 UK restock: Amazon, GAME update - Argos PlayStation 5 stock TODAY
PREDICTION have been made that Amazon will be receiving a PS5 restock in the UK following shipments from Argos, GAME and Currys.
PS5: Sony unveil pricing for PlayStation 5 console
UPDATE TWO: A new report suggests that a PS5 restock will be happening today at Argos, and should start at 8am BST. PS5 Stock Alert on Twitter provided the update, while also confirming that GAME will be sharing more PS5 stock via its website later this week, possibly on October 28.
UPDATE: This week's first PS5 restock will be hosted by EE over on the company's official website, with the sale expected to start at around 8:30am BST.
A message from PS5 Stock Alert UK Twitter account reads: "If you're an eligible Pay Monthly customer, you can get the PS5 interest-free over 11 months with EE from 8:30am tomorrow, 26 October."
ORIGINAL: More PS5 stock is expected to drop before the end of October, although most of the big retailers have already launched shipments. GAME was one of the most recent retailers to offer a PS5 restock, along with Argos and Currys. And there's a slight chance that GAME will hold a much smaller restock event later this week.
This will be formed of all the pre-ordered consoles that weren't paid for, meaning there won't be a lot of PS5s to buy. So it looks like most of the big shipments will be arriving and offered by retailers in the UK during November 2021.
There is still one prediction that Amazon could be the next major retailer to offer PS5 consoles over the coming weeks.
The prediction was made by PS5 Stock UK - a reliable stock tracker account on Twitter - which is known for providing the best guides on what's happening next.
The posted at the time: “We have no information to confirm this but previous restock patterns indicate a possible drop this week for Amazon (20/10) & Very (19/10 or 20/10). Just a prediction.”
The time has already passed for this Amazon restock, but as the others listed above didn’t materialise, there is still a chance that something will pop up later this week.
Other retailers like Argos and Currys are expected to receive more PS5 stock during November, but it’s unclear on what dates these new consoles will be available to buy.
Knowing when a PS5 restock is happening can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles its shipments.
And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:
ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings.
AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out.
GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. There are no new dates for when the next PS5 restock will happen.
CURRYS: Currys does not host purely digital restock events and there has been no indication when they might offer more consoles online. The retailer chooses to sell the PlayStation 5 via its brick and mortar stores via a ticketing system. Those interested must sign up on the Currys PS5 page to have the chance of being selected, which will then be followed by waiting until the next shipment of consoles arrives.
