Ant-Man and the Wasp: Evangeline Lilly confirms The Wasp’s role in Avengers 4
ANT-MAN AND THE WASP takes place immediately before, and then during, the events of Avengers: Infinity War. So what does this mean for Avengers 4?

WARNING: Major spoilers for Ant-Man and the Wasp ahead.
The movie’s mid-credits scene reveals who in Ant-Man and the Wasp’s principle cast falls victim to Thanos’s Snap - wiping out half of humanity.
It’s Hank (Michael Douglas), Hope aka The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly) and Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer) - with Scott (Ant-Man) trapped in the Quantum Realm as a result.
But despite appearing to be killed off, Lilly has confirmed that she does have a role in Avengers 4.
Be warned, though: it’s seemingly a small one.
Writing in February, long before anyone knew what would happen in Avengers: Infinity War or Ant-Man and the Wasp, she took to Instagram to confirm her involvement.
“I will appear in Avengers 4, not very much, so don’t get your hopes up. Not going to be a ton,” she posted on Instagram.
“But I’m in there! And I’m proud to be in there, and I’m stoked to be in there.”
This echoes what is already believed about the majority of the superheroes who were killed off at the end of Infinity War: that they will be back.
Spider-Man star Tom Holland has even been seen filming new movie Spider-Man: Far From Home, which was last year revealed to be set in the aftermath of Avengers 4.
There are no more MCU movies scheduled for release in 2018 - but there will be another in cinemas before Avengers 4 lands.
Captain Marvel, which will introduce the world to Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers, is set in the 1990s and will be released next March.
Danvers was contacted by Nick Fury, back in the present day, as the Snap took hold in an Infinity War mid-credits scene.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is out in the US now. It’s out in the UK on August 2.
