Immersive James Bond experience '007 ELEMENTS' set to open soon
The Oscar-winning director has bagged the role of director on Bond 25, Craig’s final 007 movie.
However Boyle has admitted he almost turned the project down, wondering if James Bond was really for him.
According to LIPA news, he said: “It’s not normally my cup of tea.
“I like watching big films but I don’t think I’m necessarily good at making them. Then I thought ‘no, you shouldn’t think like that’.”
Boyle has teamed up with his Trainspotting screenwriter John Hodge to come up with an intriguing finale for Craig’s Bond.
The director continued: “We have this idea about what we want to do with Bond and I felt we should have a go because of this idea.
“So we are trying to stay true to our principles.
“The unknown is exciting. The fear is very important.”
Boyle added: “If you repeat yourself you don’t ask yourself enough questions, you don’t feel the fear about what you’re doing because you feel you know what you’re doing.”
The director was confirmed as Bond 25 director in an official statement by 007.com last Friday.
Boyle is currently working on a Richard Curtis rom-com, but production on the new Bond movie will begin at Pinewood Studios on December 3 this year.
Meanwhile lucky UK fans will get to see Bond 25 on October 25, 2019, a whole two weeks earlier than the US.

According to the 007.com, this is “the traditional earlier release in the UK”, presumably because Britain’s where Bond hails from and where the movies are made.
Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson have also made a statement.
The said: “We are delighted to announce that the exceptionally talented Danny Boyle will be directing Daniel Craig in his fifth outing as James Bond in the 25th instalment of the franchise.
“We will begin shooting Bond 25 at Pinewood Studios in December with our partners at MGM and thrilled that Universal Pictures will be our international distributor.”
James Bond 25 is released in UK cinemas on October 25, 2019.
