WARNING SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS INFINITY WAR AHEAD
When the poster for Avengers Infinity War was released Marvel fans were shocked to find neither Ant-Man star Paul Rudd or Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner eatured or billed as starring.
Of course the shrinking superhero has his own solo outing this summer in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
A film set before the events of Avengers Infinity War, which may explain his absence and help set up Avengers 4.
But what if Ant-Man was actually in Infinity War, working behind the scenes in his tiny form?

This Avengers Infinity War IMAX poster was revealed to have Easter Eggs
Earlier this month an Avengers Infinity War IMAX poster arrived with some hidden Easter Eggs.
From enhancing the image, BossLogic claimed they’d spotted Ant-Man clutching onto Infinity Gauntlet.
Interestingly he’s hanging onto the slot that houses the Time Stone.
Now since Thanos managed to collect all six Infinity Stone, snap his fingers and kill half the universe, the Avengers are going to need time travel to reverse his genocide.
And just as Thanos used the Time Stone to bring back Vision and gain the Mind Stone, so must the Avengers use it to change the past – after all Ant-Man was spotted having time travelled in Avengers 4 set photos.
Now although Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet is now broken after clicking his fingers, he managed to escape Thor’s Stormbreaker axe attack by using the Space Stone to get away.
Taking into account that Rudd’s first Ant-Man outing saw his Scott Lang, a former burglar, involved in a heist, it makes a lot of sense for him to sneak up on Thanos and grab the Time Stone.
Perhaps he’d do this by shrinking it and who’s to say he wasn’t already hanging on to the Gauntlet during the events of Infinity War?
Ant-Man and the Wasp is released this August
Although how Captain Marvel and Hawkeye will be involved in Avengers 4 is something of a head scratcher.
Avengers 4 will be released in UK cinemas on April 26, 2019.
