Oscars 2018: Jordan Peele accepts award for Best Screenplay
The most prized gong at tonight’s Academy Awards has to be the Best Picture Oscar.
While the bookies claim it’s a two horse race between Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri at 9/13 and The Shape of Water on 13/8, could there be an upset?
Indy horror Get Out is behind at 5/1, but having won Best Picture at the Spirit Awards, a ceremony dedicated to independent filmmakers, it’s now in with a greater chance.

Moonlight won both Big Picture gongs at the Oscars and Spirit Awards
Last year La La Land was odds on at 2/11 to win Best Picture, which for a moment it looked like it had before the famous mix-up was revealed.
Moonlight, yet another independent film, had won the biggest prize, despite being the underdog with odds as low as 18/1.
The drama followed fellow joint Best Picture Oscar and Spirit Award winners Spotlight (2016), Birdman (2015) and 12 Years A Slave (2014).
Now considering the odds for Get Out at 5/1 – surely it’s now possible that the race-themed horror could snatch the Best Picture gong?
Three Billboards is the favourite to win Best Picture tonight
Get Out is currently 5/1 to win the Best Picture Oscar
Three Billboards may have won the Best Film BAFTA this year, but so did La La Land in 2017.
The 90th Academy Awards take place this evening in Los Angeles.
