However the new comic shows the Red Skull appearing to be shot up into outer space.
Screen Rant point out how the scene includes traditional comic book motion lines, teasing he didn’t die, but was just transported elsewhere.
With this in mind, perhaps the former head of Hydra will be making a surprise return, after all its been teased that Avengers Infinity War and Avengers 4 are a culmination of the last 10 years of Marvel movies.
To add to this theory, a year ago saw Samuel L Jackson potentially letting slip that the Red Skull will return.

Speaking on HOT 97, the Kong: Skull Island actor was asked about Nick Fury’s future involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Apparently the way Jackson said the line has caused fans’ ears to prick up.
