Willem Dafoe apparently had the perfect cheekbones for the Joker
And it was none other than the Green Goblin himself, Willem Dafoe, who starred in 2002’s Spider-Man opposite Tobey Maguire.
He made the reveal in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, claiming Batman’s screenwriter Sam Hamm believed he was perfect for the part because of his cheekbones.
Dafoe said: “[Screenwriter Sam] Hamm said something about how physically I would be perfect for the part, but they never offered it to me.”
