STAR WARS is finally about to arrive back in cinemas around the world - when can you see it in the UK?

Episode 8, named The Last Jedi, will be playing nationwide later this month; two years after the record-breaking Episode 7: The Force Awakens.
The good news for British Star Wars fans is that they can see it a whole day earlier than many other territories - and there really isn't long left to wait.
Over here, the movie will be released on Thursday December 14, with several midnight screenings scheduled at various cinemas on the night of December 13.
The release will come following its Los Angeles premiere this Saturday, December 9; the peak of a huge promo campaign.

The movie will then release in Belgium, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia and Taiwan on Wednesday, December 13.
The UK will get it alongside Armenia, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, the Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Cambodia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Russia, Singpore, Ukraine and South Africa on Thursday, December 14.
It will be Friday, December 15 when it finally arrives in the USA, Spain, Japan, Sri Lanka, Lithuania, Philippines, Pakistan, Romania, Turkey and Vietnam.
Finally Chinese fans have even longer to wait: it won’t be out over there until January 5, 2018.

The Last Jedi arrives on a wave of hype, bolstered by the raised profiles of newcomers such as Daisy Ridley (Rey) and John Boyega (Finn).
Mark Hamill reprises the role of Luke Skywalker, while the late Carrie Fisher delivers her final performance as General Leia Organa.
Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Andy Serkis (Supreme Leader Snoke) and Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) also return; with new turns from Kelly Marie Tran (Rose), Laura Dern (Vice Admiral Holdo) and Benicio Del Toro (DJ).
Rian Johnson has written and directed the caper, with Episode 7's JJ Abrams set to return to helm Episode 9 - set for release in 2019.
