The figure was calculated thanks to unaided awareness, a way of assessing how powerful a film is.

Currently The Last Jedi is at an incredible 94, beating The Force Awakens’ 92.
In comparison The Force Awakens made $247 million in its opening, the biggest opening of all time, so The Last Jedi is expected to come second.
The 2015 Star Wars finished on over $2 billion worldwide and became the third highest-grossing movie of all time.
The Force Awakens had the benefit of new Star Wars movie hype, so the sequel isn’t expected to top it but don’t be surprised if it makes the Top 5.
Similarly when The Phantom Menace was released in 1999, as the first Star Wars movie in 16 years, the film became the second biggest ever at that time.
