DOMINIC COOPER has quipped in a new interview about being told he’d lost a movie role to Tom Hiddleston.
Dominic Cooper joked about Tom Hiddleston beating him to a role
The Mamma Mia! star, whose eclectic CV goes everywhere from ABBA to Preacher, has certainly worked on some incredible things in his career.
But speaking to The Guardian, he was asked: “What is the worst thing anyone’s said to you?”
He said simply: “‘They’re offering it to Tom Hiddleston.’”
It’s unclear which part he’s talking about - but clearly it was one he had his eyes on.

Mamma Mia is returning
Cooper is currently in the midst of Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again, the sequel to the record-smashing 2008 musical.
The project reunites him with ex-girlfriend Amanda Seyfried, but he previously said the encounter won’t be an issue.
He told The Times: "I think it will be fine working with Amanda again.
“I haven't spoken to her for a while, but we always remained friends.
Dominic Cooper reveals he'll be returning for Mamma Mia 2
"Though it'll be odd, gazing into each other's eyes and singing an ABBA song."
Mamma Mia! 2 will also bring back together Pierce Brosnan, Julie Walters, Christine Baranski and of course Meryl Streep.
The film went into production earlier this week.
