Captain Marvel FIRST LOOK: Brie Larson is Carol Danvers as more details are revealed
MARVEL bosses teased Captain Marvel at San Diego Comic-Con yesterday - giving a glimpse of Brie Larson in the role.
Brie Larson will play Captain Marvel
The Oscar winner is taking on the iconic character Carol Danvers in the upcoming blockbuster, with concept art being shared with audiences at yesterday’s panel.
It was also confirmed that the film will be based in the 1990s, and will feature the notorious Skrulls as the villains.
What’s more, Samuel L Jackson’s Nick Fury will have two eyes - indicating that the film could reveal how came to be wearing an eyepatch.

The movie is a highlight of Marvel's upcoming slate
Larson herself tweeted: “Who's excited?! (Besides me).”
She’s spoken out in the past about the huge undertaking the role will be.
Speaking with SciFi Now, she revealed: “To be fair, there are a lot of iterations of her, so there’s going to be some people there who think this isn’t right.”
On her own take, Larson said: “She’s a believer in truth and justice and she is a bridge between Earth and space.

“She’s fighting between the flaws that are within her and all this good that she wants to try and spread and make the world a better place.
“She can also fly and shoot things out of her hands. And she’s really funny!”
Captain Marvel is out on March 8, 2019.
