Star Wars star reveals why The Force Awakens was a ‘strange’ experience
BRITISH acting great Harriet Walter has revealed that a fleeting cameo in Star Wars: Episode 7 was the strangest job of her career.
Harriet Walter starred as Dr Kalonia in Star Wars: The Force Awakens
The performer, who is currently starring in Call The Midwife, had a brief appearance in The Force Awakens as a medic, Dr Kalonia, tending to Chewbacca.
Despite her extensive career, however, she’s said in a new interview that she received more fanmail for that role than anything else she’s ever done.
“My strangest experience was my six words in Star Wars,” she told Radio Times.
“I’ve had more fanmail from that than anything I’ve ever done.”

That’s quite a feat when the rest of Walter’s career is weighed-up.
She starred in several episodes of Downton Abbey and Unfinished Business, as well as the films Babel, Atonement and Sense And Sensibility.
She’s not currently thought to be making a reappearance in this year’s The Last Jedi; excitement for which is continuing to build momentum.
More details are expected to be revealed at Disney’s D23 expo later this month, although yesterday it was claimed that no trailer will be premiered.
Fans had hoped for a new, full-length promo after a teaser was dropped at Star Wars Celebration in April, but rumours suggest a behind-the-scenes featurette will be released instead.
