Star Wars 8 Last Jedi: Does THIS prove Luke has Darth Vader’s lightsaber kyber crystal?
STAR WARS 8 The Last Jedi will see Luke Skywalker in possession of a kyber crystal, which could be the one from Darth Vader’s lightsaber, according to a Star Wars theorist.
There is much mystery around Mark Hamill’s role of Luke in the upcoming Star Wars The Last Jedi.
After all, the star had a single cameo role in The Force Awakens with no lines and is expected to play a major part in the sequel.
Now a leak has revealed Luke is in possession of a kyber crystal, a Force-attuned object that powers lightsabers, but there’s one detail about it that is likely to excite fans.
In his new YouTube video Star Wars theorist Mike Zeroh says: “We have new information about Luke Skywalker’s kyber crystal which is attached to his necklace, that resembles a dog whistle from a distance.

He continued: “So what’s really interesting about this kyber crystal, from what was described [by a leak on MakingStarWars.Net], Luke Skywalker keeps it in his backpack throughout a majority of the film until he goes into his third outfit.
“The outfit where he actually wears the kyber crystal necklace. It’s red…[so] a lot of people are coming to the assumption that it once belonged to Vader.
“Why does Luke Skywalker have a kyber crystal? That is really, really intriguing.”

Zeroh said: “Could this be the reason that Snoke does not want Luke Skywalker to return [as he said in The Force Awakens]?
“I would imagine that [the artifact] is going to be something very, very important and…maybe this is why Kylo Ren is searching for Luke Skywalker so hard?”
Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi is released in UK cinemas on December 14, 2017.
